Joy Maa Joy Mahabir Foundation ("the Foundation", "we") is a not-for-profit company incorporated under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN U88900WR2026NPL297669, PAN AAHCJ6766G, Section 8 Licence No. 194070), with its registered office at C/O Amarnath Goswami, Vidyasagar Pally, Rampurhat, Birbhum – 731224, West Bengal, India.
Privacy Policy
We collect only what we need: your name, email, phone number and, if you choose, PAN and address when you donate; and the details you enter when you volunteer or contact us.
- We use this information to process and acknowledge donations, issue receipts, meet legal and audit obligations, and respond to you.
- Card, UPI and bank details are entered directly with our payment partner Razorpay. We never see or store them.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with our payment processor and where required by law or by government authorities.
- Donation records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounting and audit. You may ask us to correct your details or to delete non-financial information at any time.
- The website uses a single essential cookie for the administrator login only. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Terms & Conditions
- All donations are voluntary contributions towards the charitable objects set out in our Memorandum of Association. No goods or services are provided in return.
- As required by our Memorandum, the Foundation accepts donations only in digital form (online payment, UPI, bank transfer or cheque) — not in cash.
- Donations given for a specific cause are applied to that cause as far as practicable. If a cause is fully funded, the Foundation may apply the funds to its other charitable objects.
- No part of any donation is paid to members as dividend or profit, as required under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013.
- Tax benefit: the Foundation has not yet been registered under Section 12A / 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Donation receipts are acknowledgements only and are not currently valid for claiming tax deduction. This page will be updated once registration is granted.
- Donors must be at least 18 years old, and the funds must be their own and from lawful sources. The Foundation does not accept foreign contributions unless registered under FCRA.
- Content and photographs on this website belong to the Foundation and may not be reused without permission.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
Donations are generally non-refundable, because they are applied to charitable work soon after they are received. However, we will refund a donation if:
- you were charged more than once, or an incorrect amount, due to a technical error; or
- the payment was made fraudulently or without your authorisation.
Please write to us within 7 days of the transaction with your payment ID, amount and date. Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 working days to the original payment method.
